I'm Matt Smith, a licensed Mortgage Loan Originator serving borrowers throughout Texas and California. While I help clients with Conventional, FHA, USDA, Jumbo, and refinance loans, my primary focus is helping veterans and military families understand and maximize the VA home loan benefits they've earned.

I chose to specialize in VA loans because I saw too many veterans receive incomplete information or incorrectly believe they didn't qualify due to common misconceptions and lender overlays. My goal is to provide honest guidance, clear education, and mortgage strategies that help borrowers make informed financial decisions.

Before entering the mortgage industry, I spent more than 15 years in operations management, where I developed a passion for solving problems and finding practical solutions. Today, I bring that same problem-solving approach to mortgage lending, helping borrowers understand their options, navigate the financing process, and move forward with confidence, whether they're ready to buy today or planning for the future.
