HR Assistant

Role Overview

Entry level HR assistant that believes in delivering superior customer service, has a can-do/will-do attitude, loves working in a fast paced environment and is passionate about delivering a flawless product.

Essential Duties

  • Maintains personnel and benefits details via the Paycom system
  • Prepares various electronic HR forms, updates/modifies HR system information
  • Manages background and drug screening requests and processing
  • Serves as second eyes for data entry on new hires, payroll or other HR tasks
  • Emails executed agreements to employees
  • Maintains specific HR processes for items such as staff agreements and I-9s
  • Completes project work as assigned such as bi-weekly BBQ’s
  • Orders office supplies
  • Creates shipping labels (new hire, terminations, other)
  • Supports all recruiting efforts as needed
  • Conducts reference checks prior to hire of new staff
  • Creates Birthday and Anniversary Lists for distribution via intranet
  • Other duties as assigned

KSAO’s

  • Minimum of 1-2 years’ experience in an administrative HR function
  • Experience supporting a HR or benefits team preferred
  • Confidentiality is required due to the sensitivity of information handled
  • Basic interviewing (phone or in person) skills highly desired
  • MUST BE DETAIL ORIENTED, well organized and have the ability to multi-task
  • SUPERIOR customer service skills, able to interact effectively with internal and external contacts
  • EXCELLENT computer skills and MS Office proficiency required
  • Sense of urgency, demonstrated ability to work in a high stress environment
  • Personal initiative, proactive and willing to go the extra mile
  • Flawless and timely follow through
  • Strong written and oral communication skills, personable but direct
  • Time management skills are a must
  • Must be a team player, self-motivated and possess a positive attitude at all times
  • Ability to use good judgment and adapt to changing
  • Sense of humor, positive attitude, creative mind

Position Type: Non-Exempt
Pay Range: $14-17/hr
