Compliance UW Auditor

Role Overview

This position will focus on broad issues that govern quality at Mortgage Solutions. The primary task will be to audit loan files to ensure all loans meet the standards established by the company, investors, and regulators. You will also assist other auditors with pre-funding audit and other Compliance Department functions.

Essential Duties

  • Comprehensive understanding of income and asset review
  • Updating loans for HMDA reporting
  • Auditing mortgage loan files
  • Adverse Action or Cancel Loans files
  • Scanning documents in paperless system
  • Demonstrates behaviors consistent with the Company’s Vision, Mission, and Values in all interactions with customers, co-workers and suppliers
  • Assist with other office duties when needed
  • Conduct audits of loan files
  • Other duties, as assigned


  • Minimum of 2-3 years mortgage experience required, preferably with auditing experience
  • Proficiency with all MS Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, etc.) knowledge on Encompass, IDS and Datatrac is a plus
  • Ability to adapt quickly to other information systems
  • Extremely detail oriented
  • Strong organizational skills
  • Ability to multi task in a fast pace and stressful environment
  • Excellent oral, written and interpersonal communication skills
  • Professional appearance (business casual)
  • Professional, courteous, friendly demeanor and excellent phone etiquette
  • Ability to follow directions and perform work accordingly
  • Must be able to pass background check 

Position Type: Non-Exempt
Pay Range: $55,000-65,000/yr
