CD Specialist

Role Overview

The CD Specialist is responsible generating and issuing initial Closing Disclosures (CD’s) as well as completing Change of Circumstance (CoC) Closing Disclosures. This includes validating Mortgage Solutions Financial fees, Title Company charges and impounds to fund the escrow account. A strong understanding of TRID is preferred but speed and accuracy in job completion is paramount.

Essential Duties

  • Review (and sometimes obtain form third parties such as title/escrow) all fees that must be charged at closing based on the particulars of the loan transaction. Once all fees are verified, Byte should be updated to accurately reflect the fees that must be charged and the CD must be disclosed in a timely to the borrower.
  • Represent the company in a professional and enthusiastic manner
  • Review all previously disclosed fees
  • Review all fees required by third parties such as title or Mortgage Broker (Business Partner)
  • Review conditions and add fees as appropriate or required by conditions (such as escrow holdback, additional property inspection)
  • Generate Initial CD and distribute to the borrower
  • Review Byte reports to identify loans which require a Change of Circumstance (CoC) CD
    • Once identified, review all fees and changes to the loan since the prior disclosure and re-disclose a new CD reflecting the correct, updated fees in the same manner stated above

    KSAO’s
