Top Neighborhoods for First-Time Homebuyers in Pueblo

If you’re new to Pueblo or are moving from out of state, you may not be extremely familiar with the different neighborhoods. You probably have questions like, which neighborhood is safest? Where does it make sense to invest? Are the homes going up in value? And what kind of amenities will I have access to? These are all great questions, and important matters to consider as a first-time homeowner!

To make things easier, we’ve shared our list of what we consider to be the top three neighborhoods in the area.

University Park

University Park is located right next to Colorado State University-Pueblo and Walking Stick Golf Course. Residents enjoy convenient access to shopping, the highway, new restaurants, grocery stores, and many other amenities. If you want to spend time outdoors, you can head on over to the Fountain River or the namesake park, University Park.

Eagle Ridge

Eagle Ridge is located on the Northwest side of town, near I-25. Residents here enjoy an easy commute downtown and close access to shopping, restaurants, and grocery stores. Eagle Ridge is known for being a family-friendly neighborhood, which makes it a great choice for many first-time homeowners. Additionally, many of the homes located in this neighborhood are on the newer side, having been built in the 2000s. A lot of development is still taking place in this area, which is exciting!

St Charles Mesa

St Charles Mesa, also known as The County, is located in Southeast Pueblo. Residents here enjoy convenient access to the airport as well as a 10-minute commute to the downtown area. The County is a popular neighborhood because of its quiet, rural atmosphere and laid-back vibe. Homes here are slightly more expensive, but residents also enjoy larger lots and more space between homes.
